    A: JC Seafood operates as a walk-up counter service. Whether you are buying raw seafood to cook at home, ordering a hot steamed meal to go, or heading out to the Bait Shack patio, you will place your order and pay at the main market counter inside.

Q: What does “Market Price” mean on the menu?

    A: Because we source our seafood fresh, wholesale costs fluctuate based on daily catches and seasonal availability. “Market Price” (or MP) ensures you are always paying a fair, accurate price for the freshest shrimp, crab legs, scallops, and lobster available that day.

Q: Can I have seafood from the raw market counter cooked for me?

    A: Absolutely! Any of the fresh catches in our Raw & Ready to Cook market case can be professionally steamed or boiled right here in the shop for a small steaming fee.

Q: What comes in the JC’s Low Country Boil Base?

    A: Our signature Low Country Boil Base ($18.00) includes 4 pieces of corn, 1 lb. of savory Kielbasa sausage, and 9 potatoes, all perfectly seasoned. It is designed to feed 2 to 4 people—just choose your favorite seafood add-ons at market price to complete the feast!

Q: What seasoning options do you offer for steamed seafood?

    A: We offer three signature flavor profiles for our boils and steamed dishes: Mild, Spicy, or “HOT” Garlic Butter. Just let the counter staff know your preference when ordering.

Q: What is The Bait Shack?

    A: The Bait Shack is our casual, outdoor, backyard-style patio area. It’s a relaxed space right on Whiskey Road where you can take your freshly steamed seafood straight from the counter and dig in while it’s hot.

Q: Is The Bait Shack patio BYOB?

    A: Yes! We are proudly BYOB-friendly on the patio. You are welcome to bring your own favorite beer, wine, or beverages to enjoy alongside your seafood feast.

Q: Do I need to make a reservation for patio seating?

    A: No reservations are needed. Seating at The Bait Shack is completely first-come, first-served. It has a laid-back, informal atmosphere, so just grab an open table when you arrive with your food.

Q: Can I call in a takeout order ahead of time?
